Blood of The Lamb That Bit You

a white collar dipped in blood
does not a blue collar make
they offered you a crust of bread
you said you’d rather eat cake

so don’t tell me you know what’s good for me
that a sparrow sees my sin
your sage advice may shed water on wisdom
but it won’t take away my grin

now the blood of the lamb
and the sweat of my brow
mix where still waters run deep
and a veil of tears
hides the precious young body of Bo Peep

so don’t tell me you know what’s good for me
that a sparrow sees my sin
your sage advice may shed water on wisdom
but it won’t take away my grin
